Maps & Relics
Maps are not neutral documents. They record what their makers knew, or wished to be thought to know, or were instructed to show. What they chose to leave out is as revealing as what they put in. This category gathers the cartographic record alongside the physical objects that share its character: cosmological instruments, ancient artifacts, relics whose existence or detail complicates the accepted timeline. The Tartarian territories. The green southern continent. The inland seas that should not exist. The objects whose provenance raises questions the standard account cannot answer. The map and the relic are different forms of the same thing: evidence that has survived.
